Description

The IEEE Stylesheet is a DocBook customization based on the DocBook stylesheets, version 1.70.1, that transforms a DocBook article into PDF in the form required for submission to IEEE Proceedings.

The distribution contains the stylesheet, sample input and output files, and a makefile. The makefile (fop.mk) is set up for Saxon, fop, and the 1.70.1 DocBook XSL stylesheets. The stylesheet was tested with Saxon 6.5.3, fop 0.20.5, XEP 4.4, and the DocBook 1.69.1 and 1.70.1 transforms on a Suse 10 Linux system.

The stylesheet has the following known issues:

  • Stylesheet does not work correctly with DocBook 1.72.0 transforms (but it does work with 1.69.1 or 1.70.x).

  • Processing of the Author block does not handle multiple authors correctly.

  • Margins and spacing need some tweaking. They're close, but not exact.
